Yule Ball’s Winter Moscow Mule

Spread the Love!

The winter season is upon us and you know what that means: more time cuddled up on the couch with your favorite book or movie. And for all of you who are fans of a Winter Moscow Mule, it’s time to break out the blender! This delicious cocktail recipe can be made in just a few easy steps and will keep everyone happy through even the longest winters.

With the winter essence that this drink gives off, I knew I had to dedicate this drink to Harry Potter, specifically making it the signature drink of the Yule Ball. It’s combination of winter flavors and spice from cinnamon makes it a must-try drink for the students of Hogwarts.

Very important: I do not support nor like J.K Rowling in anyway. Her behavior towards the transgender community is completely insensitive, so in many ways you will see me refer to this book as being written by an anonymous author.

History of Winter Moscow Mule

Though the history of the Winter Moscow Mule is a bit of a mixup. The most recent story of its origin is from 2007. In this story, a man named Wes Price who was head bartender at a restaurant called Morgan’s created this drink out of pure need to clear the bar’s cellar.

The cellar was packed with a bunch of unsold inventory from vodka to ginger beer. Thus the Winter Moscow Mule was created with it’s interesting

Synopsis:

Harry Potter’s life is miserable. His parents are dead and he’s stuck with his heartless relatives, who force him to live in a tiny closet under the stairs. But his fortune changes when he receives a letter that tells him the truth about himself: he’s a wizard. A mysterious visitor rescues him from his relatives and takes him to his new home, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

After a lifetime of bottling up his magical powers, Harry finally feels like a normal kid. But even within the Wizarding community, he is special. He is the boy who lived: the only person to have ever survived a killing curse inflicted by the evil Lord Voldemort, who launched a brutal takeover of the Wizarding world, only to vanish after failing to kill Harry.

Though Harry’s first year at Hogwarts is the best of his life, not everything is perfect. There is a dangerous secret object hidden within the castle walls, and Harry believes it’s his responsibility to prevent it from falling into evil hands. But doing so will bring him into contact with forces more terrifying than he ever could have imagined” (Goodreads)

This drink is absolutely perfect to serve at the Yule Ball (without alcohol, of course). It combines the beauty of winter along with all those spicy holiday flavors. I can definitely see Fleur and Ron drinking this delicious cocktail while swaying on the dance floor. Perhaps, Hermione would also have a taste!
