Chapter 858 - 883: She Knows He’s Here (4)
Her biological daughter, by chance, came to her side and was deliberately trying to please her.
Except for Bob Ginger.
This son came to her when her life was rich and stable, grew up without worries, and developed a simple and innocent nature.
When she was kicked out of the Ginger Family, she actually resented him because he didn’t speak up for her. She couldn’t help but make a scene at the Ginger Family just to embarrass him.
But—
She didn’t expect Bob Ginger to move into the Cooper Family.
He might have recognized another woman as his mother, and that woman was the real phoenix.
The phoenix had returned, and she, the hen, was back to her original state.
It was then that she started to reminisce, day and night, recalling the past days, and recalling her son.
She snuck into his school to watch him secretly, yet didn’t dare to speak to him again.
She wasn’t a good mother. She had worn away all her child’s feelings for her harshly.
Charlotte Chester lowered her eyes to look at Mia Ginger, forced a smile, and said, "There’s no going back; it’s already like this now, there’s no turning back."
"You can leave Ron King." Mia Ginger watched her expression soften, knowing she’d guessed right, and said between coughs, "You’re still not too old. You have decades ahead of you. Don’t get involved in this. Leave Ron King. As long as you help me, I’ll send you over there, or abroad if you prefer. You can start a new life."
"Abroad?" Charlotte Chester was stunned for a moment; she knew Bob Ginger was going abroad after his exams.
"As long as you’re willing." Mia Ginger swallowed hard and quickly said, "Let me go now, or come with me. I won’t pursue the matter, and I won’t let my dad and the others trouble you. You can go wherever you want, and I guarantee you’ll be well-provided for."
Charlotte Chester stared at her, saying nothing.
Mia Ginger thought she was unwilling, gritting her teeth, and added, "And Bob Ginger. You must think about Bob Ginger. He’s your son; he’s done nothing wrong. With things reaching this point, how will you let him cope in the future? You’ve wronged me; how will he face my parents, how will he face those classmates and friends? If this is exposed, he’ll have a mother who’s a criminal!"
"I’m not!" Charlotte Chester suddenly said emotionally.
"I know you’re not!" Mia Ginger’s tone softened a bit, speaking slowly, "But the police don’t know. Once the police come, you’re an accomplice."
Charlotte Chester staggered back as if struck.
Mia Ginger moved a step in her direction, continuing to look up urgently, "Help me, please. Your future and Bob Ginger’s future are in your hands. Mom, there’s no time left!"
Charlotte Chester’s body shivered, then she suddenly squatted down. As she started to untie the rope, she said, "I’m doing this for my son. He likes you, so I’m helping for his sake; it has nothing to do with you. In the future, treat him well, like a sister, take care of him, love him."
Mia Ginger watched her actions, momentarily stunned.
"Did you hear me!" Charlotte Chester asked fiercely, looking collapsing.
"Yes." Mia Ginger nodded, "I always treated him as my own brother."
Charlotte Chester didn’t speak, continued to untie the rope on her feet, and soon it was loose. Mia Ginger breathed a sigh of relief and stood up.
The carriage door slid open with a crash.
Ron King paused in shock, then loudly said, "Charlotte!"
Charlotte Chester shivered, turned to face the three people coming in, and shouted just as loudly, "She’s Aiden Jiang’s daughter, you know that. Tying her up won’t net you any money; you might not even save your life!"
