“Oh, it’s you Kyle.” Kate’s Father arched his eyebrows. “What is it?”

“I would like to trouble your wife to take care of Little Kitty while I’m guarding my friends below. It’ll be quite boring for her, so I think that she would want to spend more time with your wife.” Kyle kept his face straight.

In truth, he knew that Kate missed her father and mother so much, so he brought her here. However, he couldn’t say that directly because he felt that this girl’s face was really thin and didn’t want to tell him the truth that she’s Kate.

Kate was stunned at Kyle’s sudden action. She turned to look at him in surprise because she didn’t expect that he would suddenly allow her to stay in the lab with her father and mother. As for waiting?

Kate’s Mother smiled. “What brings you here today? I thought that you’ll go with that Kyle and head over to the frontline and clean up the giant mutated animals again.”

“Well, I have already done that in the morning.” Kate scratched the back of her head. “Kyle then took me here, so I’m going to spend dinner with you, Mom.”

“In that case, help me peel the potatoes?”

“Yes!”

Kate happily took the smallest knife and then began to peel the potato. She had to admit that she couldn’t cook that well. Well, the food was barely edible if she was the one who cooked it, but she had helped her mother from time to time with her limited ability.

“Well, you’ve turned to become very cute again, so I can’t help it.” Kate’s Mother laughed. “You little lass, I’ve always worried that you will end up to be alone in your life, so seeing your cute figure, I feel as if I’m looking at my granddaughter.”

Kate was speechless. Well, it couldn’t be blamed that she had been single all this time, ok? She herself didn’t know why but she was not exactly interested in having a relationship before.

She was too busy with the matter of her study and also her other hobbies. At that time, she didn’t think that it was necessary for her to find anyone to spend her time with them.

It was really hard to trust someone else so easily.
