“A water gem, huh?” Kyle nodded.

He had guessed as much when these giant mutated animals came flocking to the city. Even though he heard that some people said that these giant mutated animals were attracted by the noises they made and other convention, he didn’t believe that much.

It was just how they were covering up the truth about these giant mutated animals from people.

That way, ordinary people would never know the existences of the gems that attracted so many of these giant mutated animals.

It was now that Kate remembered that her best friend, Lucy, came from City D. She eventually went to City A because she got accepted into University A and as the best university in this nation, there was no doubt that she would take this chance.

After they got separated because Kate turned into a cat, Kate expected that Lucy should be heading to City D.

“Let’s find your cousin and get out of here as fast as possible.”

“Ok.” Dylan then walked to the stairs. This time, he could sense that water gem and was determined to get that gem so that he could become stronger faster. There was no way he wanted to be lagging behind the others.

Kate was being hugged by Kyle and was on the state of half-awake and half asleep. It seemed that no matter what happened, she would not care unless it was disturbing her peaceful sleep.

“Where would they be?” Lotte asked curiously.

“Perhaps in the dormitory. But the dormitory building is on the other side of the place.” Jake pointed at the building that was connected with bridge to this building.

Kate was stunned. She turned to look at Kyle and saw that his expression was filled with seriousness.

Suddenly, Kate recalled that on one of their previous missions, he had caused a group of people to have nightmare. This had indirectly showed that this man was also someone with three abilities.

Unlike her whose second ability was so useless because she couldn’t return to her adult human form, his abilities were very useful for him. It would make him grow stronger.

Knowing that he was determined to tap onto that unknown ability, Kate then nodded unwillingly.

Kyle was looking at the black gem and took it with his hand. The moment the gem touched him, something within his mind shook as if there was a longing. Unlike other elements that could be sensed from a distance, this black gem could only be sensed when he touched it.

Dylan didn’t care about Kyle. He cut the back of his hand and put the gem on top of it. He could feel cold current washing his body, but his expression was still as if there was nothing that he experienced at all.

The skin on his body turned somewhat blue due to the cold and Dylan sat cross legged, focusing on this strange current of energy within his body to make sure that he could actually use the energy and integrate it into his body.

This was no longer the first time they absorbed the gem, so they were already quite used to the routine.

The others also took the crystals and busy absorbed them.

On the other hand, Kyle took a deep breath before taking the black gem into his hand and cut through it. The moment the black gem entered his blood, countless images and voices seemed to flood through his mind.

The longing, the despair, the desperation, the anger, and countless other emotions flushed through Kyle’s mind at this moment as he saw his memories were being repeated in front of him. Things he had long wanted to bury were forced out by the black gem’s energy as it merged with Kyle.

Gritting his teeth, Kyle clenched his fist. He could clearly remember everything that had happened back then. His desperation, anger, and rage were overflowing, causing his other two elements to start rampaging.

The others were startled and looked at Kyle.

“That black gem...” Jake’s mouth opened wide.

“Kyle!” Lotte called out in panic and formed a wind shield for the three of them. Dylan was also in the state of absorbing gem and should not be disturbed. But if Kyle’s rank 5 power were to go on a rampage, there was no doubt that the entire room could possibly be destroyed.

Kate didn’t hesitate and draw the white dots from the other giant mutated animals outside and poured them into Kyle’s body. This warm current repressed the raging fire and lightning elements as Kate continued to pull more and more of these white dots into Kyle’s body.
