The Villain's Little Cat

Chapter 152

Chapter 152

152 Heading City B

Dylan looked at Jake and then entered his sleeping bag. He had no interest in chatting with Jake any longer.

Jake was speechless when he saw Dylan’s gaze.

“Did I say anything wrong?”

“No.” Kyle pondered for a moment before saying, “You just need to remember that genes can do wonder. There will always be some miracles in the world just like there are some people who are very different from their parents.”

Jake was silent.

He watched as Kyle entered the tent and silently wondered that indeed there were always strange child here and there. Even there were others who questioned whether they were actually related or not.

In the end, he could only sigh and didn’t say anything else.Rread latest chapters at novelhall.com

The next morning, the group departed once again.

.....

There was no problem at night, but they were surprised to find that there were many other cars on the road today. These were all people who were running away from City D not long ago.

They were heading towards City B in hope to find some peace to save themselves.

“City B will be very cramped later.” Jake shook his head.

“There are fewer and fewer save cities left. It’s inevitable that survivors will be trying to head over to the remaining cities.”

“With so many giant mutated animals around, it would be even harder for them to go out and roam around. Staying in some cities are already the safest choice that they could possibly made in this situation.”

Kyle was clear that the situation was getting worse and worse outside. The problem of food and others would be extremely clear. And with the huge number of giant mutated animals’ corpses left unattended, he didn’t believe that there wouldn’t be any problem either.

Plague, sickness, the cleanliness problem that many people had completely forgotten at this point would surely resurfaced and slap them in the face.

“It’ll be hard for things to return to normal.” Lotte also sighed.

Marc was silent. He knew that from the moment he saw Robby acting strange, things would never be the same anymore. What they could do and what they needed to do would be very different.

Hailey was clenching her fingers to form a fist. She didn’t want things to change and believed that as long as she could stay with her families, everything will be fine.

“Meow?”

Looking into a distance, Kate felt like she was blinded by the mass of white dots stacking together so densely. She even felt that she was hallucinating, but her abilities usually didn’t allow her to do that.

Kyle arched his eyebrows. “What did you see?”

“Meow.”

“Huh?” Marc and Lotte were both confused.

“General Ryan is at the front. He’s busy fighting against the rank 5 giant mutated animals,” one of the soldiers quickly replied.

Kyle nodded and then looked at Dylan. “Find your parents. Convince them to leave. You too, Jake and Lotte. Marc, you follow Jake and help him out.”

“Got it.”

“Ok.”

They quickly left, leaving Hailey confused on her place. When she came to her senses, she quickly ran behind her cousin while cursing under her breath. Why did he leave her be when his mission was to escort her to city B?

Wait, that was wrong.

They were already in City B so technically the mission was complete. There was no way Dylan would want to stay even a second longer around Hailey if it was unnecessary, so these people had completely forgotten about her.

“Meow.”

Kate frowned and looked at these giant mutated animals. Her ability stretched out and forcefully pulled these white dots away from them, helping the soldiers at the frontline to relax a bit and able to take some breath as the number of the dying giant mutated animals increased.

But she was only peak rank 5 in her healing abilities.

It would be hard for her to completely dominate the battlefield with her current ability.

“Father!” Kyle yelled when he saw his father was fighting against two rank 5 giant mutated animals. His eyes burned with anger and two lightning shot out.

Bzzt!

The two rank 5 giant mutated animals were electrocuted to death and General Ryan was freed from their bombardment. No matter how surprised General Ryan was, he could guess what happened when he heard his son’s voice.

Turning around, he smiled bitterly when he saw his son and moved down. His wind element helped him to levitate from the ground, allowing him to fight with two rank 5 giant mutated animals.

But it wouldn’t last long.

“You shouldn’t have come back.”

“And let you deal with these giant mutated animals by yourself?” Kyle looked at his father coldly. “Where are the soldiers from those damn powerful families?”

“They’re guarding the other wall.” General Ryan shook his head. “I’ve been instructing them to lead the civilian to leave. City B might not be able to last long anymore.”

“In that case, you and these soldiers leave too.” Kyle looked at his father coldly.

“What are you saying? I’m the general and...”

“Yes, you’re the general, but if you stay here, you’ll die. How many hours have you been fighting, Father? You’re already almost exhausted!” Kyle yelled back.

He himself used to be a soldier, so he knew that his father wanted to sacrifice himself in order to save these people. But what would the use be? He himself was only one person and there were too many giant mutated animals.

Even if he died, there was no doubt that many of these people will also die.

“I have to stand at the...”

“Stand? Go back, leave this place to me. None of these giant mutated animals will pass by me when you’re evacuating everyone.” Kyle waved his hand, not caring about his father’s ashen face. “I’m stronger than you, so you can’t hold me back, Father.”
