“My son is far from perfect.” General Ryan knew that very well. In fact, he himself wanted to scold his own son so badly, but he definitely wouldn’t do it in front of Kate’s Father. If he made Kate’s Father impression of Kyle worsen, that brat will definitely seek him out for another argument or even fight.

But when Kyle heard his mother had passed away, he lost it all.

The world seemed to be Kyle’s enemies.

He didn’t care about other people’s lives and only cared for himself. There were even times when General Ryan felt that Kyle might not even care for his own life.

But after meeting Kate, Kyle began to care more about lives and everything that revolved around her.

“Heh.” Kyle shook his head. “Go down and have breakfast. Lucy texted me saying something happened to her brother. Also, you might want to have a phone on your own.”

Kate thought about her old phone and searched her space. Looking at the dead phone, she knew that she better charge it first if she wanted to use her phone again.

It has been dead for weeks.

She didn’t even know whether the battery was still in a good condition or not. But well, her space had the ability to stop time, so it should be still in quite a good condition, right?

Kate would just try to charge it later.

They had their breakfast and then left to the residential area of City E. After City E was being rebuilt, the areas were slowly separated between the industrial areas and also the residential areas.

There were also some other buildings.

This made City E slowly but surely looked like a normal city during the time before the changes had occurred back then.

Seeing the people who were working and laughing around, Kate smiled unknowingly.

She liked this atmosphere.

Kyle was watching the little cat in his arm. Because of the blood contract, he could sense her emotion and knew that she was happy. Even though there were nothing interesting, he was glad when he sensed her emotion.

Since she liked this, he would try his best to maintain it.

That’s all that mattered.

“Kyle! Kate! You’re here!” Lucy waved her hand when she saw the two of them approaching. Though, it had to be said that Kate was simply staying in Kyle’s arm when they got closer.

“Meow~.” Kate meowed and looked at the others.

It seemed that Lucy also called the others to come here.

“So, what happened? I was just calling my mother to ask for her help to arrange my marriage...” Jake complained.
