They stayed in City C for a few days, immersed in the difference atmosphere compared to City E. City C was not as united as City E because there were several forces who were trying their best to make their name known here.

Aside from the military, it was the other businessmen families.

Between City A to City I, there were only 3 cities left. City C and City E were both rebuilt from scratch and attracted the refugee from the other destroyed cities nearby. City I was still stand firm but it was perfectly controlled by the military and only the family members of the soldiers inside were allowed to come.

They didn’t open the door for other refugee.

Who knew what kind of thoughts these people would have?

The soldiers in City I naturally would not want to compromise their safety. There were already so many giant mutated animals they had to face, they didn’t want to add spies and others into the list of things they had to be careful of during this time.

It was already tiring enough.

But if one had to be honest, there were nothing much to see in City C. If not because Dylan was still a bit busy to reinforce the defense of White Family, they would have left a long time ago.

But since they were already here, it would be a waste not to spend their time and take a look around.

“Say, what brings you here early in the morning?” Kyle looked at Jake in front of him coldly. “Do you think the training I give you and Lotte in City E is not enough.”

Jake nearly vomited when he heard Kyle’s words. “You’ve already interrupted our date and made us date during training. Now you even want to kick me out?”

“You’re in my room.”

“This hotel belongs to the White Family.”

“It’s temporarily given to us while we’re staying in City C.” Kyle snorted. He looked at Jake up and down before concluding, “You’ve been kicked out of Lotte’s room.”

Thinking of the time in City E where he would ask where Kyle was and the answer would always be with Kate. The two of them were almost inseparable except when they do their business in the bathroom.

“Kate is a young woman and you’re older than her. Doesn’t she have different ideas of date from you?”

Kyle arched his eyebrows.

Due to the position his father gave and also his interest in research, he usually only spent his time with Kate during break or when he was doing research. As his former student, Kate still have some basic knowledge, so she was able to help him.

But aside from his home, their parents’ home, and laboratory, they indeed hadn’t spent so much time outside.

There was simply no time.

“There are a lot of giant mutated animals outside,” Kyle said calmly.

If they were to go out, that would be to kill these giant mutated animals roaming around City E. Though, their number had decreased because of Kate’s presence and her action of killing them all instantly.

Some of these giant mutated animals were not stupid.

They knew that if they were to get close to Kate, they would be killed.

Who would want to seek death.

Jake looked at Kyle and took a deep breath. “Just help me arrange it, ok?”

“What’s in it for me.”

Jake really wanted to toss Kyle out. Doesn’t having his own private time with Kate already enough as reward?

“I’ll give you some crystals from those giant mutated animals later,” Jake finally said.

“Ok.”

“Damn you, you’re richer than me but you keep on making me work.” Jake cursed under his breath, feeling annoyed.

“There’s no reason to reject free money coming.” Kyle chuckled and walked out of his room. “The others are having breakfast now. Do you want to come or not?”

“Yes!” Jake gritted his teeth. He will make sure that he spent the entire day with Lotte and have fun as much as possible!

The two of them quickly came down and saw that the others were having breakfast. As they gathered, Kyle said simply that they would go in a group of two so that they could have their own fun.

And naturally, everyone agreed.
