The other teams managed to get away from the island one way or another.

Some lives were lost.

Some unlucky people would never be able to leave the island forever.

But there was no time to care for everything.

The destruction of the island was actually something that startled most people. But those who truly understood the implication felt a bit grim.

"Someone should have already obtained the source." Mr. Yami was in the main boat with the soldier. He and his team sneaked in using his wind element when they realized that the island was slowly being destroyed.

He came here to try his luck and didn’t have the interest to bet with his life. Since someone had already taken the core when they were all busy, it meant that he was not fated with that core.

He would not be a loser and tried to snatch it away.

Those who could come here were all powerful people in rank 7. He didn’t believe that he was so strong that he could steal the core from them.

The rank 7 soldier glanced at Mr. Yami and nodded slightly. "Whoever have the core will have to hand it over."

They had records of everyone who came there.

Though, they also realized that there were some foreign teams who entered the island because they encountered many corpses along with that team in the cave.

And it was during the conflict that the island suddenly crumbled.

"You sound disappointed."

"I am." The rank 7 soldier sighed. He came here with the hope of being able to obtain the core and gave it to his leader. With the core as his contribution, he believed that he would be able to rise in ranks.

"Do you want to use the core?" Mr. Yami’s eyes flashed.

It was said that the core could be used too by them. But the strong power within the core might not be bearable to those of lower rank. They had reached rank 7, so some ambitious people did have the notion of trying to infuse the source into themselves.

They were not so stupid and sick.

"We shall see." The rank 7 soldier sighed.

The destruction of the island had caused Petra and his group scrambled to get out. But even when he was about to face this thing, Petra still struggled and dragged Lotus’s body out of that cave.

No matter what, she’s still his woman.

Without her help for the past year, it was impossible for him to grow so quickly and reached this height.

She herself also obtained several chances that allowed her to grow stronger.

Yet, they were still not a match against that damned Kyle.

"I’m fine." Petra snorted and struggled to stand up. The last battle was really miserable and that pulling force...

That had to be a reverse healer.

It was just that he didn’t see anyone nearly Kyle. Petra frowned because he realized that Kate, the famous reverse healer from City E, had a way to make herself follow Kyle without anyone knowing.

Or was she actually there but they didn’t know it?

It was not like everyone introduced their name back then.

There were also two women in Kyle’s group whom Petra didn’t know. In the national meeting, Kate always wore a hood, preventing others from truly knowing how she looked like without any proper connection or abilities.

Petra frowned.

"Boss, Mistress..." the people looked at Lotus’s corpse and didn’t know what to say. They felt at loss when they saw her as they couldn’t believe this.
