Chapter 1850 - 1853: Engagement (Part 2)

Then Hua Hua turned over and pressed himself against him, smiling at Ling Yin, "Are you too excited to sleep now?"

"You figured it out?" Ling Yin was indeed in that state.

Hua Hua raised his hand and looked at the ring on his ring finger. He had imagined countless times the scene of wearing this ring, but had never thought it would be so ordinary, yet he felt this was the best. Unexpected yet reasonable; actually, two people being together isn’t about putting on a show. Although he sometimes envies others for having super romantic proposals or other occasions, he only envies them a little in his heart. Inside, he feels that such things only need to make the two people involved happy, there’s no need for grand gestures.

"From now on, you’re mine. Should I also custom-make a ring for you?" Hua Hua laughed particularly happily.

Ling Yin smiled without dissent, "Hua Hua, have some wine with me."

He gently held Hua Hua’s hand, stared at his ring finger, looked again and again, then smiled like he’d hit the lottery.

"Sure, I want to drink a little to celebrate too."

Ling Yin went to get the wine. That night, neither of them really slept. They drank, ate, and watched movies, not falling asleep until around four-thirty in the morning. Ling Yin hugged Hua Hua from behind, and they had a nap in the home theatre. Ling Yin woke up at eight in the morning and went alone to the Gu Family to discuss the engagement banquet with Gu Shaocheng.

The engagement banquet was quickly settled. Both of them were decisive people, adept at organizing such things. The banquet was set for two weeks later, with no media invited, nor any business partners from the industry, just a gathering of the two families. It was held at a very charming winery, with four tables for the feast.

Though the number of people was small, it was particularly warm and intimate.

Hua Hua wore a white suit, exceptionally handsome, graceful, and impeccably perfect; Ling Yin wore a black suit, steady and composed. Standing together, the two were indescribably well-matched.

There was something called warmth that silently lingered over the engagement banquet.

In unguarded moments, you could tell just by their backs how much they looked like a couple.

Chenxing grabbed Huanhuan, "I think my brother and Brother Ling Yin are so well-matched, don’t you? Even more than a woman could be."

Maybe they had watched so much that acceptance wasn’t an issue. Gu Shaocheng, sitting next to Chenxing, listened to her and Huanhuan’s conversation, his gaze fell on Ling Yin and Hua Hua, and he too felt the two were very suitable together.

"Bro, hug me." Hua Hua put down his wine glass, pushed the chair away, and walked over to Gu Shaocheng.

Little Zun Zun laughed heartily on the side, such a big kid still wants a daddy hug.

Gu Shaocheng put down his cup, nodded, stood up, spread his arms, and took Hua Hua into his embrace. He even touched his hair and gave a light kiss, which led to Hua Hua holding his head and giving a heavy peck on his forehead. Then he hugged Gu Shaocheng tightly, very tightly.

This hug carried all of his first love.

The unrequited love that had accompanied his entire youth ended here. That deep-rooted love that had been engraved in his bones, he had unknowingly let go of. Although he once used every method to let go of his feelings without success, something so heart-wrenching, it was now etched in memory. Unknowingly, this love had been replaced by the love given by another person. Suddenly he wanted to laugh, truly feeling happy, even though the person to accompany him to old age was not his brother.
